  • Growth Mindset Psychology conducts WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 5th Ed.) cognitive assessments.

  • This assessment is used to assess the cognitive ability (IQ) of a child between the ages of 6 years to 16 years and 11 months of age.  Designed to measure cognitive ability (either deficits in intelligence or giftedness) the WISC-V can identify potential strengths or challenges in verbal comprehension, visual spatial skills, working memory, processing speed, and fluid reasoning skills. The WISC-V also provides an overall FSIQ (full scale IQ).

Educational Assessments

  • Growth Mindset Psychology conducts a clinical battery of assessments (incl. WISC-V and WIAT-III) to investigate and identify specific learning difficulties including Dyslexia (specific reading difficulties), Dyscalculia (specific mathematical difficulties) and Dysgraphia (disorder of written expression).

  • The assessments conducted will identify strengths and weakness and will be tailored to your child’s needs and the specific learning/cognitive question.

Achievement Assessments

  • Growth Mindset Psychology conducts WIAT-III (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - 3rd Ed.) assessments.

  • This assessment is used to evaluate an individual’s strengths and weaknesses across the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, and oral language. Age range is 4 years to adult. An achievement assessment is recommended when there is a suspected learning difficulty or specific learning disability (such as Dyslexia).

School Readiness

  • Growth Mindset Psychology conducts BRIGANCE Early Childhood Screen III assessments. 

  • This assessment provides a snapshot of a child’s mastery of early developmental and academic skills. It also enables educators to readily identify those children who may have developmental delays and those children who may be advanced as early as possible to ensure these children receive appropriate intervention and support services. This assessment investigates physical development (gross and fine motor skills), language, academic/cognitive, self-help, and social-emotional skills.

Adult Assessments

  • Growth Mindset Psychology conducts ADHD assessments and diagnosis on adults:

    • A battery of assessments with be undertaken including the WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale 4th Edition), Executive Functioning assessments, and Behavioural Rating Scales in order to assess and diagnose ADHD (hyperactive-impulsive, inattentive, or combined presentation). 

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment and diagnosis.

    • WAIS-IV (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - 4th Ed.).

    • The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV) measures an adult's intellectual ability and is appropriate for persons 16.0–90.11 years (Wechsler, 2008).
